Kosmonauci (PL)

In the organizer's words:

Kosmonauci is a jazz band that sometimes incorporates hip-hop, drum & bass and improvisation into its music. The group consists of saxophone, bass, vibraphone and drums and has developed its very own style based on emotional melodies and polyrhythmic structures.

The Kosmonauci band has already played at some of Poland's most famous jazz festivals, such as the Jazz Jantar Festival, Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, Młyn Jazz Festival and the National Philharmonic in Warsaw. The music is well received by audiences and critics. This year there have also been plenty of festival appearances, for example at the Open'er Festival, the Męskie Granie, the Next Fest Music Showcase & Conference and the Czech Music Crossroads.

On June 7, Kosmonauci won the "Sanki" prize awarded by Gazeta Wyborcza for the most interesting faces on the Polish music scene.
