"Meeting friends with music": Cologne music lovers have invited their artist friends Linda M. Bento-Rei and Vytas J. Baksys from the USA to give two concerts of classical music here in Cologne. An event organized by Anna-Maria Stötzel-Rinder.
Linda M. Bento-Rei was principal flute with the Venice Symphony Orchestra (Florida) for six years and has performed with the Bach Ensemble, the Fifth Avenue Chamber Orchestra and the Gulfshore Opera of Naples (Florida), among others. She co-directs the non-profit chamber music organization Sarasota Musica Viva, now called Magnum Opus, which she founded with her husband. The pianist Vytas J. Baksys has made a name for himself as a freelance musician in North America, Europe and Asia. He has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Chamber Players, Sarasota Musica Viva, Ensemble Chamarré and the Terezin Music Foundation, among others. Bento-Rei and Baksys have recorded several CDs together and will start their "European Tour 2025" in Cologne.
