In 2025, the Museum Lüneburg will continue its popular "Enjoyment and Culture" series of events and dedicate itself to the special exhibition "Images! The Salt of the Bibles" to the fascinating "Power of Images". From January to March, art, culture and culinary delights will be combined on three special evenings.

Historical and modern perspectives on the power of images

The focus is on the "Power of Images": curator Dr. Ulfert Tschirner discusses the significance of images on three dates with guests from academia, theology and journalism - from the historical woodcuts and engravings in the Lüneburg Bibles to their central role in our modern media society.

After the discussion, the LUNA museum café invites you to enjoy a small culinary snack - the perfect setting to discuss the evening's topics in greater depth.

The series will continue on April 17, but will then be dedicated to an archaeological topic as part of the special exhibition "Lüneburg in its infancy - the early history of the city from an archaeological perspective".
