In the organizer's words:
Inspired by a small but fascinating disc brooch, beautiful pins are created. Even in the early Middle Ages, brooches set with red garnet and resembling flower discs were considered costume jewelry. They not only held clothing together, but were also a beautiful accessory. Today, they tell researchers about the lives and trading relationships of people in the early Middle Ages.
