Around 100 MACHer:innen will turn the weekend of May 24 and 25 into a festival of creativity and enjoyment for anyone with a taste for the new, the handmade and the unusual. The creative and manufactory market in Munich brings fashion, food, lifestyle, art and DIY together under one roof and creates a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a colorful world full of inspiration, unique products and workshops.
Small manufactories, big ideas
Discover handmade creativity: innovative start-up ideas, individual products and small manufactories. From Kadmos Kulturverlag, which reveals Munich's animal worlds through literature, to 'Flügge Clothing', which inspires with sustainable fashion upcycling design, to organic dates and many other creative highlights - all from people who put their passion into every piece!
DIY workshops and creativity
The MACHart Festival is the perfect place for anyone who not only wants to discover creative things, but also wants to get creative themselves: Learn the art of mixing cocktails or distilling schnapps. Design your own item of clothing in a screen printing course. Have you always wanted to try your hand at sewing or tufting your own carpet? All this and much more is possible at MACHart. Creative accents can be set with candle dipping or by designing a dried flower arrangement. And if you fancy a bit of art, you can learn the techniques of printing or painting in the Cyanotype Printing or Dotting workshop. You can create your new favorite piece at various jewelry stations. Also back again: the mini tattoo studio from the Fine Line scene.
A varied program for young and old - fun guaranteed!
Whether you're coming with the family or looking for new ideas for your own creative object - the MACHart Festival has everything to offer. Younger visitors can look forward to a storyteller on Saturday and a Punch and Judy show on Sunday. There will also be face painting and glitter tattoos on both days, as well as a kids' crafting area. If you would like to teach your little heroes even more courage, you should stop by the 'Elephant Courage for Kids' workshop - where children from the age of 5 learn how to develop their inner strength.
Feasting and treats for all the senses!
From hot dogs and juicy burgers to Cuban specialties, crêpes and ice cream - foodies will get their money's worth as they stroll through the Alte Kongresshalle, with delicious coffee from the roastery in hand.
Insights into Munich's city history and book presentations
In addition to all the creative offerings, there are also exciting things for those interested in culture: Munich's city history can be listened to, as well as crime and children's book authors.
