Real estate entrepreneur Peter Althaus doesn't have it easy: his rebellious teenage daughter Paula comes home from a climate demonstration with an "asphalt hand" and his mother Hedwig is the victim of a "grandchild trick" in which a lot of cash disappears. Money that shouldn't actually exist, which is why Peter is plunged into an even bigger crisis when he learns that Grandma Hedwig has already called the police on her own authority. They are already on their way to the Althaus family when, to make matters worse, son Albert confesses that he is running a sizeable cannabis plantation in the basement of their unpaid-for home. What a mess!
Right now, the family should be sticking together like pitch and brimstone, but the opposite is the case - things are really flying apart. Will mother Selma manage to get the gang back on track and avert a major disaster? A wonderfully chaotic comedy about topical issues and the microcosm of the family, which - despite everything - is the most beautiful place in the world.
