KRUDER & DORFMEISTER play the K&D Sessions live

Kruder & Dorfmeister, the Vienna-based duo consisting of Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister, have been an integral part of the international electronic music scene since the early 1990s. Known for their innovative productions and remixes, they are considered pioneers of downbeat, trip-hop and nu-jazz. Musical styles that are characterized by relaxed rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes. With their sound, they have managed to blur the boundaries between genres and establish a new musical feeling that is both relaxed and sophisticated.

Their breakthrough came in 1998 with their "The K&D Sessions", which are considered milestones in electronic music. In it, they transformed tracks by artists such as Depeche Mode, Lamb and Roni Size into hypnotic, detailed soundscapes that often surpassed the originals. Their music is characterized by warm basses, smooth grooves and an organic mix of electronic and analog elements.

In addition to their own productions and remixes, Kruder & Dorfmeister are also known for their DJ sets, which often offer hour-long journeys through different styles of music. Their performances are characterized by a relaxed yet intense atmosphere in which the audience can lose themselves. In doing so, they demonstrate their versatility and their feel for moods and dynamics that go far beyond simple dance music.

In summer 2025, Freiburg audiences can be there live when the legendary duo transform the ZMF circus tent into the city's most exciting club and perform their K&D sessions live.
