Kitchen lithography, also known as cola lithography, is a flat printing technique based on the repulsion of fat and water. It is etched with the phosphoric acid contained in cola. It is an experimental printing technique with the idea of dispensing with solvents that are harmful to health. In contrast to lithography (stone printing), it saves time and does not require a well-equipped printing workshop. Printing is done from aluminum foil by hand with a spoon or folding bone, hand pen and ball of the thumb or, if you prefer, on a professional gravure press.

A lot can go wrong, especially if you want to do the technique with a large group of children. However, this applies to the printing results, as the technique itself and the materials used are not dangerous. However, if you approach the whole thing as an experiment, you can try out various household items in a group and have great fun combining science and art. With a little practice, skill and attention, the technique is child's play and can be easily integrated into school lessons.

The training course is designed to give participants the opportunity to learn the technique of kitchen lithography and to print their own graphics. On the first day, the printing technique is introduced and tested. The participants then work on their own monochrome motifs. On the second day, there will be the opportunity to delve deeper into the technique and, if you wish, to print in multiple colors.
Previous knowledge is not necessary. There will be a handout for the workshop.
