D 1932, 74', 35mm, OF, Director: Slatan Dudow
Berlin 1931: In the midst of the economic crisis, the Bönike family loses their apartment due to rent debts and moves out of town to the tent colony "Kuhle Wampe". While her parents freeze in petty-bourgeois resignation, daughter Anni finds support and motivation in the workers' sports club. A classic of proletarian cinema, KUHLE WAMPE criticizes the state's lack of care in the face of mass unemployment and loss of housing and formulates the hope for change through a youth movement based on solidarity.
