Kultur im Laden

In the organizer's words:

Under the motto "changeable spaces", the doors of the Altendorf business premises will open again on Friday, September 5, from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. for "Kultur im Laden".
Each room is assigned a function: the kitchen, the community hall, the ice cream store, the kiosk or an information center. The artist Veronika Maruhn and her "Kultur im Laden" ensemble "overwrite" these usage specifications and turn the launderette into a dance floor, the Ruhrbahn bus into an audio bar, the bridal store into a dating venue and the AllbauPunkt into a concert hall.

On behalf of the City of Essen's Department of Culture, "Kultur im Laden" has been taking place in various parts of the city for many years. Artists present their art in places where you would not normally expect to find them. Together with the Altendorf business people, red carpets are rolled out for the public.
