With Kultur im Quadrat, we bring music right to your doorstep. In the heart of Mannheim on Dalbergplatz, a wide range of music awaits you every Thursday evening from July 10. End the evening with timeless classical works, relax together to jazzy, swinging sounds and enjoy a refreshing drink with driving beats and bass.

Under the open sky, in the shade of the houses and surrounded by the vibrant city life, a varied concert program awaits you - free of charge and for everyone.

Whether you want to relax at the end of the day or are looking for new musical discoveries: Dalbergplatz will be the meeting place for everyone who is in the mood for good music and real summer moments.

10.07. - Trumpet trio of the Mannheim Philharmonic Orchestra
With a summery and colorful program on a journey through the ages: From festive splendor to jazzy-swinging sounds.

17.07. - Musical Academy, NTM
The brass ensemble's program will ring in the end of the day in a fresh and light summery way and transform Dalbergplatz into a small oasis of well-being.

24.07. - Sone Krawatte & Joshua Caleb
Sone Krawatte brings a refreshing mix of German-language singer-songwriter charm and pop-rock arrangements, which sometimes go quite powerfully forward.
Joshua Caleb inspires with a creative mix of indie and hip-hop music. Catchy hooks meet profound lyrics - to join in, feel and celebrate.

31.07. - DJ Festival: DJ Hub
When the city slowly cools down, we'll turn up the heat once again and heat you up. Start your summer night in the shade of the houses and enjoy dynamic sounds and warm basslines under the evening sky.

7.08. - Sascha im Quadrat
Sascha im Quadrat plays whatever is fun. Unique cover versions of well-known songs meet incomparable humor.

Bring your seat!

Whether it's a camping chair, folding chair or kitchen chair, an ironing board as an improvised high table or a drinks crate as a stool - bring whatever you have. Together we'll make our open living room really cozy!

Food & drinks

If you get hungry on site or fancy a refreshing drink, you can be inspired by the diverse selection of restaurants and cafés in the immediate vicinity! Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own drinks or snacks and eat them on site. There is no obligation to buy anything.

How to get there

On foot & by bike

The small but beautiful Dalbergplatz is hidden in the heart of the Quadrate, just around the corner from Mannheim's Paradeplatz. Less than 5 minutes away from Mannheim's shopping mile and just a hop across the road from the Stadthaus. Bicycles can be parked at the Stadthaus, at Paradeplatz or in the surrounding squares. There are also some parking spaces directly on site.

By public transport

The nearest stops are Paradeplatz (streetcars 1, 2, 3, 4/4a, 6/6a, 7) and Schloss (streetcars 1, 5, 7). From Mannheim main station, you can take lines 1 or 5 in the direction of Paradeplatz/Schloss or line 7 to Paradeplatz. From there it is only a short walk of 3-5 minutes. During the day, streetcars run every 10 minutes.

By car

The parking garages N1 and N2 are directly adjacent to Dalbergplatz. Parking fees and live information on capacity utilization can be found here. Further parking spaces can be found in the parking garages N6, C1 and the parking lot M4a.

In bad weather

In the event of rain or bad weather, the event will unfortunately have to be canceled. Information on this will be announced in good time via social media and on our website.
