A sustainable cooking project by Verona Hong

Our world is colorful.
It is enriched by many different cultures. This also includes different delicious cuisines. "Have you tasted all these yet?"

Let the young people involved in the "Kultur schmeckt!" project and Theater Grenzenlos take you on a great journey of food cultures at the Mohr-Villa. Fresh and sustainable food is cooked for visitors at the Mohr Villa.

Sustainability
In order to protect these cultures on earth, we must also take care of the environment. Sustainability plays a major role in this. Tons of food are thrown away every day because it is not pretty enough for the supermarket or is simply not used up. At "Kultur schmeckt!", delicious meals are prepared for visitors from ingredients that are still in good condition and have been saved. Because even if the vegetables aren't quite in shape - they taste good!

Culture tastes good! Winning project
The Mohr-Villa and Verona Hong are delighted to have received the award from Children for a Better World e.V.. The CHILDREN competition jury selects the TOP 8 projects every year. Kultur schmeckt! is one of the winning projects in 2023 out of a total of 70 funded projects.
The cooking project was also nominated for the German Commitment Award 2023.
