Kultursalon: A journey into the spiritual world of modern poetry
Topic:A journey into the spiritual world of modern poetry
Time: Friday, June 13, 2025, 6:30 pm
Place: Chinese Cultural Center Berlin
Klingelhöferstraße 21, 10785 Berlin
Guest of honor and keynote speaker: Dai Weina
The German philosopher Adorno once spoke of the end of poetry - but poetry continues to progress.
In a world characterized by algorithms, floods of information and personalized content, urgent questions arise: Is the digital order changing the way we feel, think and perceive? Where is there room for the living soul of the individual?
Dai Weina is one of the most incisive voices in young Chinese poetry. In this cultural salon, she invites us to rediscover the sensual and spiritual power of modern poetry. With a keen instinct, she shows how poetry deepens our perception, breaks down habitual thought patterns and opens up new spaces for thinking and feeling.
Afterwards, a joint reading with other young Chinese poets invites you to get to know the diversity and expressiveness of contemporary Chinese poetry.
The Chinese Cultural Center Berlin welcomes you all and looks forward to an inspiring evening of modern poetry.
