The Munich-Nymphenburg Botanical Garden invites you to the BlütenLust cultural weekend. On Saturday, 17 May and Sunday, 18 May 2025, you can not only discover plants from all over the world, but also enjoy a varied cultural program. All events are related to the plant world and are embedded in the blooming surroundings.

Music can be heard in the Botanical Garden's Schmuckhof this weekend - from jazz and classical music to pop and electro sounds.

There are numerous highlights for families

Parents and children can get creative together at the craft stand. Kasperl's Spuikastl will be there again, presenting two funny stories about a blue rose and a rather cheeky bottle gourd. The Lesefüchse e.V. will be telling special plant stories and the Schleichwege puppet theater will have the absent-minded snake Babette hissing through the greenery in the Palm House.

Gathering knowledge about plants

Scientists from the Botanical Institute offer guided tours several times a day and the new spring rally is a fun way for young and old to learn more about spring bloomers.

The fastfood theater brings botanical knowledge to the stage - paired with improvised dramas and lots of humor. The Ecoprint workshop Umblättern shows how to conjure up plants on paper and fabric. The number of participants is limited for both events - advance booking is required (see homepage for more information).

No matter what the weather is like: The festival will take place

In case of rain, the Winter Hall and the Botanical Institute will be available. The Botanic Garden team and all the artists are very much looking forward to experiencing a weekend full of nature, culture and discoveries together with the guests.

All BlütenLust events are included in the admission price. Adults regularly €6.50, concessions €4.50.
