"It has happened, and therefore it can happen again." Primo Levi
Primo Levi's words seem to be a tangible reality again today and must be more of a warning to us than ever. Patterns of dehumanization, persecution of those who think differently, ignorance towards the marginalized and patterns of inhumane politics are becoming more and more obvious in Germany (and worldwide) today and are increasingly gaining the approval of broad sections of the population.
For this reason, we call on people to join us in celebrating January 27, to remember the victims of the crimes, to commemorate them and thus to bring the memory of the events back into the collective consciousness. Remembrance and commemoration is not a closed event, because everything that happened can happen again. Rather, remembrance and
remembrance must be embedded
Let us therefore join together to make the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of National Socialism a day of remembrance, commemoration and struggle that sends out the signal that we must continue to say -
NEVER AGAIN
