Kunst gegen Bares

Support your Local Artist!

Every third Wednesday of the month, artists from music, comedy, poetry slam, magic and all other niches of cabaret compete against each other. While elsewhere the voting is still done with applause and scoreboards, Kunst gegen Bares is a step further. Here the audience votes with the most important thing they have at their disposal: money! 8 artists have 7 minutes to prove that they are worth pearls before swine, more precisely piggy banks. At the end of the show, the audience votes on who will leave House 73 as the winner and be awarded the title of "Capitalist Pig of the Evening". They do this by throwing money into the piggy banks of the performers. In the end, the winner is the one who has the most money in the pig - just like in real life. In the end, the audience is well entertained, the performers a little richer again and Christian Lindner hopefully proud of us all.

We are open to all talents from the fields of theater, music, vaudeville, literature, pantomime, stand-up, speech, etc. In Cologne, the format has already been a success for years. Now artists* are also competing in Hamburg for fame, glory and another month's rent.
