From the sculpture park to Ebertplatz
The Skulpturenpark Köln is a 3.5-hectare park with outdoor sculptures by German and
international artists. Situated between the zoo, the cable car and the banks of the Rhine, it is
one of the most beautiful art locations in the Rhineland. The Cologne Sculpture Park was created by the
private initiative of the collector couple Dr. Michael and Dr. Eleonore Stoffel in 1997. The current exhibition Body Manoeuvres 2024 was curated by Nikola Dietrich
who is now Artistic Director of the Liste Art Fair in Basel.
Eight contemporary artists have created works for Skulpturenpark Köln.
We see explorations of technological developments in the field of
artificial intelligence, the effects of climate change and the emergence of new economies.
new economies. After visiting the sculpture park, we stroll along the banks of the Rhine to the Bastei and
then to Ebertplatz to the water kinetic sculpture by Wolfgang Göddertz.
Artists: Marte Eknæs, Peter Wächtler, Olga Balema, Julian Göthe, Judith Hopf, Paulina Olowska,
Georgia Sagri and Frances Scholz.
