Public series of events
In the form of short lectures followed by a discussion, the Central Institute for Art History (ZI) series sheds light on Munich in the first post-war decade: How did the former "capital of German art" change under Allied control? What ruptures and continuities can be observed in the "art operating system"? How did the repatriation of Nazi-looted art take place, what did the city look like back then, what narratives did art and art history develop and what phenomena have only recently begun to be studied?
