In the organizer's words:

We invite families and all those who are curious to a varied and enjoyable Sunday that is all about art, festivities and games.

On Sun 01.06. from 11:00 to 21:00 we present a compact one-day version of the festival for young and old in and around the Herrenhausen Gardens - with everything that goes with it: music, dance, circus theater, installation and of course delicious snacks.

In the festival center right at the entrance to the Herrenhausen Gardens, the freitagsküche welcomes you for coffee, cake and hearty meals.

TO THE PROGRAM

At the beginning of the day, the circus company Modo Grosso plays with time in Alles | Nichts and sends young and old into unexplored realms of perception as they juggle with fabrics and stones, magnets and pendulums, threads and balls. In COW LOVE, an absurd spectacle between acrobatics, comedy, burlesque and show dance, two masters of failure delight all ages. The touching and unconventional couple try everything and mess up everything they attempt. PANOPTICON shows a struggle to free a human soul from a machine-like body. Dancer Vasiliki Papapostolou translates this longing into a body language in an impressive way. Park Music for Herrenhausen celebrates the 350th anniversary of the Herrenhausen Gardens with a huge orchestra consisting of 160 musicians. Even the large bell fountain is allowed to play in this musical spectacle tailored to the Great Garden. The Linden-based "store for spatial sound care" Feinkost Lampe presents the Ukrainian folk-jazz quartet Leléka, which captivates the audience with its unmistakable style and talent for improvisation. The spatial installation Sunrise for the sleepers brings the sound and light of the sun into the baroque gallery and transforms the space into a walk-in body of light and sound that changes as we move around the room. There are three 30-minute live concerts. The light installation Best of All shows the famous Leibniz thesis on the best of all possible worlds in giant neon letters on the glass Arne Jacobsen Foyer. Artist Tim Etchells reminds us that it has lost none of its socio-political relevance and explosive power over the centuries. In cooperation with the art education team of the Kestner Gesellschaft, we are also offering a creative art activity for kids from 12:00 to 17:00 for our young audience. Participation is possible at any time!

The performances last between 30 and 70 minutes and can be easily combined with each other and with the installations on the KunstFestSpiele day.

With the kind support of Rossmann, hanova, the Gundlach Foundation and the Förderkreis Freunde der KunstFestSpiele e.V.
