Kunsthaus Salon: Toxodon

On Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 7.30 pm, the trio Toxodon will play the final concert in the Kunsthaus Salon series.

The trio TOXODON with Salome Amend from Wuppertal on vibraphone, Raissa Mehner from Cologne on guitar and drummer Simon Camatta from Essen came together for the first time at the Moers Festival 2023. It plays music made up of free improvisations and original compositions by all the musicians. The focus is increasingly on allowing compositional elements to flow into the improvisational flow as freely and playfully as possible. Different genres do not play a role. Noisy soundscapes, rock grooves and jazz solos are mixed with new music and beats. All three musicians are active in many different artistic fields and bring corresponding influences with them.
