The forests we admire in Germany today are fleeting snapshots of a constantly changing history. Whether the Leipzig alluvial forest,
Bavarian Forest, Harz Mountains or Spree Forest - each of these forests is the result of a development that began hundreds of millions of years ago.
Hjördis Baacke presents works that express the fragile beauty of nature, the play of colors, and the moment of contemplation, the transience. Her paintings invite us to reflect on man's relationship with nature - a source that has always shaped our existence. Baacke's seemingly anachronistic approach opens up new perspectives on the timeless connection between man and nature.
