On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the Wachsfabrik will once again host Art Sunday with open studios. For the second time, Cologne artist Markus Lensch will be exhibiting his oil and acrylic paintings in Atelierloft 21.

Thematically, the acrylic and oil paintings on display deal with moments of metropolitan life as well as the cultural and party scene.

The escape from reality, life in the here and now, the absorption of absurdities, the distraction from social constraints.

Surrealistically playful and at the same time dark, fragile and disturbing, the richly detailed images offer the viewer plenty of room for interpretation.

A look into the painter's pictorial worlds reminds us of what is really worth living for and at the same time of the magical pull of the fantastic.
