Kunstspaziergang mit Baby - Führung zu den Kunstobjekten auf Zollverein

Parents and babies as well as accompanying persons are invited to explore the art on the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex during the "Art Walk with Baby".

On this walk, we will take a closer look at selected works together in a small group with a baby carriage or baby carrier. During the relaxed walk, we will gain an insight into the fascinating history of this place, which began with the closure of the colliery. Among other things, we will be introduced to the various workshops that were and still are located at Zollverein, as well as the creative people who have settled there. The walk takes us past six works whose stories tell of artistic protest actions, major exhibitions and short anecdotes. We learn more about Concrete Art through the steel and stone sculptures by Alf Lechner, Ansgar Nierhoff and Ulrich Rückriem.

The one-and-a-half-hour walk is designed so that parents with babies (0 - 2 years) can learn about the art and history of Zollverein while keeping an eye on the needs of their little ones. Individual breaks can be taken and breastfeeding, changing or feeding is naturally taken into consideration. The focus is on exercising together in the fresh air and the opportunity to talk about art together.
