Two award-winning short films - one vision.
Independent director Serhat Ertuğrul Köroğlu presents his works "Clogged" (2021) and "LoQum" (2024) together for the first time in Dortmund - followed by an audience discussion.

🎥 About the director:
Serhat Ertuğrul Köroğlu was born on January 5, 1997 in Göksun, Kahramanmaraş. His passion for cinema developed at a young age, inspired by the works of important auteur filmmakers. To pursue his cinematic curiosity, he studied radio, television and cinema at Erciyes University.

During his studies, he worked on numerous short films and documentaries in various roles. During the pandemic in 2020, he managed to shoot his first serious short film "Tıkalı" under difficult conditions, which later attracted international attention. His films are often based on personal observations and everyday absurdities - with the desire to "make the invisible visible".

With the mockumentary film "LoQum", a rare genre in Turkey, he expanded his creative signature and continued his festival journey in 2024. He currently lives in Germany and is continuing his master's degree in film.

The secrets of a family that keeps many things from each other are hidden - quite literally - in the toilet bowl of their home. During a dinner with relatives, a toilet problem involving the youngest member of the family brings all the hidden truths to light.

- LoQum (2024)
Genre: Mockumentary / Absurd comedy | Running time: 15 min
A group of documentary filmmakers begin a project about the well-known rapper Deniz alias "LoQum", who is increasingly associated with a radical terrorist organization. During filming, the camera reveals ever deeper secrets - both about LoQum himself and about the group's dubious structures.
