KURZSUECHTIG Kurzfilmfestival - „Who am I?“ – Kurzfilme aus Vietnam

At the beginning of April, the KURZSUECHTIG short film festival presents the best short films from Central Germany. From April 2 - 6, the latest productions by young filmmakers from the region will be shown at the Schaubühne Lindenfels in the categories animation, documentary, fiction and experimental. Stories that get under your skin are told in just a few images. The filmmakers are present on the competition evenings and talk about the creation of their films and the themes they address. The audience can vote each evening to decide which film receives the Audience Award.

The Cinematheque in the naTo will once again be showing the popular guest country program on Thursday, 3 April, this time with a focus on Vietnam. Films by Vietnamese filmmakers will be in conversation with works by members of the Vietnamese diaspora in Germany. Under the title "WHO AM I? TÔI LÀ AI?", the program deals with the tension between tradition and modernity and the search for identity between Vietnamese and Viet Germans.

The guest country special will be followed by a film discussion and award ceremony. The films will be shown in the original language with English subtitles.
