From the epistemological perspective of feminist border studies, I would like to present an artistic, academic and activist work on “La Guaricha de los Andes”. This “performative” and activist work is both the product of feminist reflection and a “Marica” experience of living in “border zones”. La Guaricha de los Andes is a starting point and a challenge to rethink the possible bridges between academia, activism and the oppressive experiences lived by the
Migrants. “Maricas” of “Ours Americas” (Viveros, 2016) in the Global North.
In this presentation I will share the emergence, journey and questioning of “Drag” practices through a narrative, the creation of clothing and images about this performance. Songs, dance and performance on stage to question from a MARICO-FEMINIST and decolonial point of view our internal and external
practices in the dynamics of the LGBTQI movements of global norths.
