La Otra Orilla is a trio of Latin American music with Chilean roots, founded in Germany by Giordano Véjar, Pedro do Bandolim and Aldebarán Guzmán.
Through the combination of music and poetry, the group preserves and reinterprets the folklore of Chile and Latin America, exploring traditions such as the canto a la rueda, the décima and the jarana popular.
Their music invites you on a sonic journey across borders and brings European audiences closer to the diversity of Latin American music. From the profound songs of the canción popular to the lively rhythms of folklore, their repertoire ranges from boleros, waltzes, cuecas and chacareras to cumbias.
They combine tradition with new musical creations. In addition to traditional pieces, La Otra Orilla also present their own compositions to keep the essence of folklore alive and give it new voices and sounds.
