Enjoy live music in a relaxed atmosphere on picnic blankets and in deckchairs - that's what you can do on 1 August at the viewing platform at Stauteich III. Right by the water, surrounded by greenery, the popular "umsonst-und-draußen-Minifestival" of the HOT Billabong youth center invites you to listen, discover and linger. Now in its fourth year, LAKESIDE delights with a diverse program of young bands and artists who bring their own songs and creative covers to the stage - fresh, authentic and full of energy.

On August 1, "Marius Kraußold" and the bands "Lemonsun" and "Nina and the Beavers" will share the Lakeside stage:

Marius Kraußold: "To find beauty you sometimes have to look into abysses" This is how Marius describes his music, in which he deals with his own fears and doubts. The result is a solemn, melancholy sound that never forgets hope. In combination with beautiful, catchy melodies and profound lyrics that still have surprises in store the second and third time you read them, you embark on a journey full of melancholy, sadness, hope and confidence, philosophizing about things like love or the right path in life and completely forgetting about time.

LEMONSUN is an indie rock band from Bielefeld. They combine contemporary indie pop a la Jeremias with alternative rock from the 90s, synth-pop and autotune. They presented what this sounds like for the first time on their single "Sommerregen" (March 2024). Their EP "shower playlist", on which LEMONSUN provide an even deeper insight into their musical world, will follow in fall 2024.

Nina and the Beavers was founded in 2022, when the five of us - singer Nina Bieber, bassist Till Brinkmann, guitarist Daniel Butenko, keyboardist Malte Elgeti and drummer Fynn Nitsche - first met musically. Originally, the focus was on interpreting well-known cover songs, which we still bring to the stage today with passion and fresh arrangements. In the meantime, however, we have put together an ever-growing repertoire of our own songs, in which we are constantly faced with the challenge of reconciling the most diverse musical influences of our members.

The concert starts at 5 pm. Free admission.
