From singing to dumplings in pants and other situational states - exhibition by Lara Burgmann, drawings, objects, room installation
The exhibition presents a multifaceted collection of individual drawings as well as serially created graphics and collages that explore the complex nature of motherhood and the equally complex life of "being a woman". In various formats, the artist shows her personal interpretations of the diverse feelings and situations that go hand in hand with this.
From joy and love to anxiety and overwhelm to pride, fatigue, care, sadness, insecurity, connection, frustration, hope, isolation, gratitude, reassurance, curiosity, disgust and euphoria, there are many nuances on display that reflect part of the experience of being a "mommy" and a "woman".
The works reflect intimate moments, social expectations and the often ambivalent feelings that characterize giving birth and raising new human beings. Visitors are cordially invited to engage with the various aspects presented here.
The exhibition creates a space for dialog and empathy and, as always, invites visitors to question their own view of the scenes and experiences depicted.
