LAWN CHAIR are back! After two EPs in collaboration with producers Olaf Opal (Beatsteaks, The Notwist, International Music) and Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), several gigs throughout Germany including Fusion & Immergut Festival as well as a first UK tour, a sound was worked out in long studio sessions last year that is unparalleled in the German indie scene. The ambitious Cologne band is now presenting its long-awaited debut album:

YOU WANT IT! YOU GOT IT! deals with life in late capitalism, caught between cell phone addiction and toxic masculinity, between the longing for success and inner peace, always accompanied by the inescapable imprints of one's own origins. The band around singer & front woman Claudia Schlutius packs their examination of the contradictions of modern life into a captivating genre mix with post-punk reverberations, uncompromisingly dry guitar riffs, poppy basslines & driving synthesizers - once again staged with stylistic confidence by Olaf Opal.

(The second pre-release single) "with its driving groove is reminiscent of the danceable anthems of Blur, while the bouncy bassline gives the song its very own character.
