The Leica Gallery Düsseldorf presents the group exhibition WATERSIDE MOMENTS with three winning and finalist series of the Leica Oskar Barnack Award, one of the most internationally renowned photography prizes. With this award, Leica has been contributing to the diversity and quality of photojournalistic work for 45 years and focuses on the relationship between people and their environment.

Colorful life on the beach: Cox's Bazar is located at the southernmost point of Bangladesh. It is a popular travel destination for many people and is considered a cultural melting pot. The photographer (born 1989) comes from Bangladesh and returned to this special place to capture the beachgoers and the atmosphere in brilliant colors.
JONAS KAKÓ - THE DYING RIVER
The Colorado River used to run over 2,000 kilometers from the Rocky Mountains to the Gulf of California. In recent decades, however, the water was diverted for agriculture and the growing cities. The river dried up in places. The German photographer (*1992) shows the struggle for water, on which around 44 million people depend.

The capital Jakarta is already the fastest sinking metropolis in the world.
