LEICHENSCHMAUS – Performatives Dinner mit Audiodeskription

In the organizer's words:

A LEICHENSCHMAUS without death. A dinner to remember, share and digest. With a tear soup, memory soufflé and 'grief cookie', we invite you to remember the deceased together, to try out mourning rituals at the table and to encounter finiteness while eating together. What does farewell taste like, what does remembrance smell like and how do we pass on memories in recipes and eating habits?
The dinner will be hosted by Lois Bartel, Greta Granderath, Annika Scharm and Naomi Sanfo-Ansorge together with Ursina Tossi, who will accompany the dinner with an artistic audio description. The LEICHENSCHMAUS will be cooked by the artist Nina Kuttler. Also on the menu: Contributions by performer Carrie McIlwain, in which the Christian ritual of the 'Sin Eater' is reinterpreted with relish. And an ash tasting with the artist and vocalist Rupert Enticknap, in which various vegetable ashes are sizzlingly tasted.

ACCESS & BARRIERS
There will be a tactile guidance system in the room for blind and visually impaired visitors. For a pick-up at the subway U2 / Gänsemarkt we ask for a registration by e-mail in addition to the ticket purchase: todessalon@gmail.com The premises are barrier-free accessible with an elevator. Please select wheelchair spaces when purchasing tickets. The dinner is vegetarian. For a vegan option, please also register by email by June 10. The dinner lasts about two hours.

10-30€ according to self-assessment, meal included. Accompanying persons of guests with disabilities can attend and eat free of charge. The guided tour can also be booked in advance via the advance booking system. Please reserve a place for the guided tour in advance with a free online ticket.
