Leon Albert - Gitarre Solo

Following the release of his debut Bizarre Akustische Erscheinungen in 2019, guitarist and composer Leon Albert has followed up with a long and carefully planned concept album: 24 Präludien für den erweiterten Bekanntenkreis is a journey through all major and minor keys, but also a collection of soulful miniatures that, despite their brevity, carry a great deal of emotional depth.

The signature style of the debut album with a slight tendency towards whimsicality has been logically continued and polished into a clear and soulful style. The words Contemporary Guitar describe it as modern and concertante, but at the same time as flexible as necessary. The works also surprise with unconventional polyrhythms and deliberate dissonance.

In addition to the album repertoire, the current concert program includes many improvisational elements and newer pieces.
