As a producer, Leon Thomas worked as part of the duo The Rascals for artists such as Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Drake and Rick Ross. He received a Grammy in 2024 for his work on SZA's song "Snooze". But Leon Thomas has also been successful as a solo musician since 2012, building on a remarkable discography that reaches the zenith of his career to date with his latest album "MUTT" and its title track. With its modern R&B sound, the album, which has been streamed over 315 million times, has made him famous worldwide. Billboard also named "MUTT" as the No. 1 R&B album of 2024, while it topped Apple Music's R&B/Soul chart for weeks. After a support tour with Blxst, he toured 2024 on his completely sold-out MUTT Headline Tour, made his TV debut on Stephen Colbert's Late Night Show and played an NPR Tiny Desk performance that went viral and took him to #2 on YouTube trends. In early 2025, Leon Thomas was rightfully named Billboard's Chartbreaker as well as MTV PUSH Artist of the Month for March. After the artist had to cancel his exclusive Berlin show in February 2025 at short notice, Leon Thomas is coming to Germany for the first time on his MUTTS DON'T HEEL TOUR in March 2026, where he will perform at Berlin's Huxleys and Cologne's Live Music Hall.

Leon Thomas grew up in Brooklyn, New York City and became a sought-after actor as a child. In addition to roles in the Nickelodeon production "Victorious" and HBO's "Insecure", he also began producing music in 2012. He released his own music in the form of the mixtapes "Metro Hearts" (2012), "V1bes" (2014) and "Before the Beginning" (2016) before his EP "Genesis" marked a turning point in 2018. With songs like "Favorite", "Blessing" and "Beg", the singer and producer launched his modern R&B sound on the EP, which brought him to Ty Dolla $ign's label EZMNY Records in 2022. His debut album "Electric Dust" followed in 2023 with the tracks "Breaking Point", "Crash & Burn" and "Treasure In The Hills", whereupon Leon Thomas set new records, which he eclipsed again with the release of his single "MUTT" in August 2024. The release of the album of the same name scaled Leon Thomas' solo career further upwards and marked his international breakthrough with his hit single, which took him on tour around the world. With "MUTT Deluxe: HEEL", the artist released the continuation of his second album in May 2025, exploring psychedelic R&B vibes with rock textures and soul elements, also revealing new collaborations with Kehlani, Big Sean and Halle.
