Leon Wenzel is a classical pianist and currently lives in Brussels.
For him, being a solo artist and musician in the classical field means the adventure of sharing and experiencing music from the past centuries with an audience in the present. His concert programs include works that amaze us and make us encounter ourselves anew - whether they date back to the mid-1650s or were composed just last month. Leon Wenzel sees introductory words as a double opportunity to open up these different musical works to a contemporary audience: they can be a tool for the newcomer on their first journey into unknown realms, while the experienced listener finds inspiration to encounter familiar works in a new way.
With the aim of creating a shared musical experience in concert, Leon Wenzel can be experienced on stage in a variety of ways: as a soloist in piano recitals or with orchestra, as a chamber musician and song accompanist.
He develops multifaceted concert formats in collaboration with actors and authors and creates a personal connection between the work and the audience as the presenter of his own concerts.
Leon Wenzel is studying for a master's degree at the Conservatoire Royale in Brussels with Prof. Gabriel Teclu.
