Lera Lynn is an acclaimed singer-songwriter who has earned a loyal following with her haunting voice, cinematic soundscapes and genre-bending style. With her blend of Americana, indie rock, folk noir and art pop noir, she has created an unmistakable sonic identity that is both timeless and constantly evolving. Lynn first gained widespread recognition for her music in the HBO series True Detective (Season 2), where her evocative songs and on-screen performance left an indelible impression on viewers.

As an independent artist, Lynn has built her career on thoughtful songwriting, poetic lyricism and meticulous production. At the same time, she maintains a direct relationship with her fans and runs her own independent label, Ruby Range Records. In addition to her own albums, she has composed and produced music for video games, podcast theme songs and films, collaborated with a variety of artists and produced records for others. Her music has been used in countless films and television series, highlighting her ability to create atmospheric, cinematic soundscapes. On stage, she has toured from California to Eastern Europe and everywhere in between, captivating audiences worldwide with her mesmerizing performances.

Now, ten years after True Detective, Lynn revisits that pivotal era with True Sessions , a four-song EP that reimagines the music that brought her to the attention of a wider audience. But Lynn is not one to dwell on the past. This spring, she will officially announce her ninth studio album, Comic Book Cowboy, due out September 19. Expanding her stylistic repertoire while sharpening her unique sound, this album plays with contrasts - gritty realism versus idealized heroism and the absurdity of living up to a fantasy. It explores the tension between self-perception and the roles society expects us to play, and captures the struggle with our own mythology.
