Les Indésirables (Die Unerwünschten)

In the organizer's words:

Haby, a young French woman whose family immigrated from Mali, works in the administration of her home town. When Pierre, who is a doctor by profession, is appointed interim mayor, long-simmering conflicts over the redevelopment of a district threaten to escalate. When an illegal neighborhood kitchen in a residential building burns down, Pierre has the building cleared by the police in order to take the opportunity to demolish it. In order to prevent further escalation through ruthless politics, Haby puts herself forward as Pierre's opponent in the upcoming mayoral election. Can she soften the hardened fronts between French people with an immigrant background and French people without an immigrant background?
