Few things go together as well as culture and cold drinks - exactly this combination will soon be available in Lübeck at "Reading for Beer". The idea behind it is as good as it is simple. Two great slam poets and enthusiastic beer drinkers sit on stage and find themselves and each other extremely funny: Andy Strauss and Schnauz Störtebeker. They take it in turns to read out texts. You decide which texts, because you bring them with you. It doesn't matter whether it's self-written or Shakespeare, your sister's diary, your favorite recipe or Swedish furniture assembly instructions. It's also up to you how you want your text to be performed. Nils and Andy are happy to slip into any role and transform themselves into an offended toddler, an incredibly erotic lover with a French accent or an arrest warrant, as the mood takes them.

After each performance, the audience applauds to decide which was better: the reading itself or the way it was read. And thus also whether a beer goes to the person with the text or to the stage. So you can look forward to an exuberant bar evening, to the questionable, to fun and to escalation. And best of all: if you bring a text, you pay €2 less admission and get a Pfeffi on top!
