With lightness and charm, Caspar-Maria Russo's novel tells of Masha and Iggy, of stolen Parmigiano and of a love in approximate times.

Here are two people who love each other and keep missing each other: Iggy wants to become a filmmaker, but has so far failed to gain admission to the film academy. Masha is lost in the labyrinth of online dating and is studying medicine on the side. The two meet by chance, but how do you fall in love here and now? And how do you talk about it when you can talk about everything else and know every relationship concept? Before Masha and Iggy become a couple, they first have to travel to Italy with the terminally ill Valeria, rob a church, swim naked in Lake Wörthersee - and learn to simply say nothing. And like all robber couples, they manage to pull off the craziest coups before they succeed in the hardest part: allowing closeness...

Caspar-Maria Russo was born in Eddelsen in 1994 and grew up in Hamburg. He studied German and comparative literature in Freiburg and Vienna. Russo is a narrator of audio books and was invited to the Theatertreffen der Jugend in 2017 with his production "Das bin ich nicht". His plays have been published by S. Fischer Verlag since 2021, he received the exil literaturpreis in 2022 and his play "draußen ist wetter" was nominated for the Heidelberger Stückemarkt author award in 2023. He has received numerous scholarships, including the Dramatiker*innenstipendium and the BMKÖS project scholarship. "Prinzip Ungefähr" is his debut novel. Caspar-Maria Russo lives in Vienna.
