In Daily Soap, Nora Osagiobare creates a biting satire about racism, privilege and the absurdities of everyday life. Protagonist Toni navigates her way through family turmoil and social clichés, while a fashion company tries to refute accusations of racism with a reality show. Osagiobare, born in Zurich in 1992, studied literary writing in Biel and Vienna. For her debut, she received a scholarship from the Autor*innenwerkstatt Prosa at the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin and a work grant from the Canton of Zurich. Daily Soap is a perceptive novel about identity and social contradictions.
