Saba-Nur Cheema is an educational consultant and political scientist who grew up in a conservative Muslim neighborhood in Frankfurt. Meron Mendel is the director of the Anne Frank Educational Center, was born in Israel and came to Germany to study. In Muslim-Jewish Supper, they write essays together that begin at the shared kitchen table and range from everyday life to politics. Between personal experiences and social issues, they negotiate questions of identity, colonialism and coexistence - a plea for openness and dialogue in polarized times.
