In Image, Svea Mausolf dissects the abysses of late capitalism with black humor and sharp satire. Protagonist Peggy Brinkmann, 37, is failing at her studies, relationships and everyday life in a shared flat until she meets Veronique in the Image pub. What follows is a fast-paced chain of events that culminates in the engagement party of Peggy's sister, a Christfluencer. Mausolf, known as meme artist @sveamaus, is an artist, comedian and author, including for comedy formats such as "Kroymann". Image is her literary debut - a dark, bitter satire on a brutalized society in which moral boundaries have long since been crossed - and which, despite its gloominess, is sure to fill the Kampnagel Waldbühne.
