Scenic reading with Theater Heidenkind on the occasion of the anniversary of Astrid Lindgren's death
Susanne Baum (Astrid Lindgren)
Claudia Seidel (Louise Hartung)
Music: Björn Jentsch
During a visit to Berlin in 1953, Astrid Lindgren met the singer and committed pioneer of reading promotion Louise Hartung. It was the beginning of a deep friendship that was mainly lived out in letters. Over the course of eleven years, the two women shared their feelings, weaknesses and passions in over 600 letters. It is the view of two intelligent, emancipated women on their time - but above all an exploration of their relationship: a struggle for closeness and distance, for friendship and love. Touching, clever, sad, full of warmth and humor.
