In the middle of the small town of Dwellton, Nate is faced with a huge challenge. His deceased father leaves behind not only a house and a bookshop, but also a crushing inheritance of 80,000 pounds in debt. In order to finance his mother's medical treatment, Nate not only has to face external adversity, but also the inner demons that have been tormenting him for years. The English town in which he finds himself harbors not only the secrets of his father, but also the dark shadows of a history riddled with homophobia and the vicious circle of alcohol. Nathaniel must understand the past in order to find himself. This coming-of-age story is also the story of queer love in the 1980s
