Agnes Johanna Flügel is a systemic coach, author and beekeeper. For her dream of a life in harmony with nature, she quit her job in the Hamburg media industry and founded the "Honigmanufaktur Flügelchen " in Schleswig-Holstein. There she developed workshops and seminars about bees, nature and sustainability. In her first novel, she remains true to her bees and her desire to give them and beekeeping more appreciation.

1649 Johanna leads a quiet life on the family farm by the Baltic Sea. She tends her garden and secretly devotes herself to studying bees. When her father dies, the idyll is shattered and, as a woman, she is excluded from running the estate. Expelled from the estate, Johanna is forced to embark on a dangerous journey across a country devastated by the Thirty Years' War. When all seems lost, she meets the mysterious guild of beekeepers. They are united by their love of bees. With their help, she wants to reclaim her home and fight for justice for herself and her family.
