On May 19, psychologist Nike Hilbert will be coming to the BUCHBOX! in Kastanienallee at 8 pm to read from her new book "Psychotherapie ohne Fachgedöns".

The psychologist and licensed psychotherapist Nike Hilber, known through her Instagram account @la_psychologista, gives an insight behind the otherwise closed doors of therapy. Through fictional, but everyday therapeutic scenes, she provides an authentic insight into the world of psychodynamic psychotherapy. The realistic and narrative view of universal themes such as fear, shame, loneliness or anger creates an understanding of the intimate and emotional process that psychotherapy entails and expands knowledge about mental health and the possibilities for personal development. In addition to individual perspectives, social aspects are not ignored. The stories about key therapeutic moments are complemented by explanations of psychological concepts and methods as well as food for thought. All #ohnefachgedöns, of course.
Psychotherapy without the technical jargon serves as inspiration for head and heart as well as for a deep understanding of the relationship to oneself and one's fellow human beings.

Nike Hilber, born in 1991, is a psychologist and depth psychology-based psychotherapist. She is passionate about psychodynamic psychotherapy because it has the potential to successfully treat mental illnesses and - thanks to its proximity to psychoanalysis - to scrutinize socio-political processes. Nike Hilber has also been active as a science journalist on Instagram under @la_psychologista since 2018. There she makes her exciting content accessible to a wide audience under the hashtag #ohnefachgedöns.
