Our guest is Alexandra Beilharz.
She is a novelist, translator and the publisher of Flur Verlag.
She has translated "Rachilde" and will introduce the book and the author.

In this essay (published in France in 1928), the French writer Rachilde deals with the feminism of her era in a provocative and humorous way. Using the examples of education, training, religion, love and fashion, she analyzes the lives of women at the time and in particular of women writers, the "femmes de lettres". When the essay was published, Rachilde was 68 years old and had long been a successful writer and literary critic.
