Homage to Mascha Kaleko on the 50th anniversary of the poet's death, in poems, letters and diaries.
Spoken by Susanne Schwan, musically illustrated by Simon Bellett.
The verses, with which Mascha Kaleko writes against the ballast of everyday life and wants to encourage people to live, are ironic, witty, trenchant, clever and incredibly tender.
The life of the Jewish poet, who was born in Galicia in 1907 and died in Switzerland on January 21, 1975 (50 years ago today), was interwoven with persecution, emigration, illness, strokes of fate, fame as a writer - and above all: the longing for an inner and outer sense of belonging "... I chose love as my home".
