Critical masculinities and current debates

Paul Ninus Naujoks is a freelance author, speaker and artist from Hamburg, who has been intensively committed to queer perspectives and transgender since coming out as a trans man. With his in-depth knowledge and personal experiences on topics such as cis male expectations and the current challenges in the field of sexism and trans hostility, Paul invites you to an open and reflective exchange.
As part of the event, he will present excerpts from his short story collection Männer & Zerbrechlichkeiten, in which he addresses the complexity of masculinity and its social expectations. Afterwards, there will be room for an open discussion about current debates and crises surrounding gender roles and discrimination.
The event will end with a short wrap-up where individual discussions will be offered for those who prefer to talk in a more personal setting.
The event is aimed at anyone interested in learning more about critical masculinities, cis men and cis masculine people taking responsibility and how they are perceived.
