Escape. Help. A new start
with Herrad Meese, Cornelia von Schelling and Waltraud Volger
Herrad Meese, Cornelia von Schelling and Waltraud Volger present the book "Die Schatten der Vergangenheit besiegen" (Defeating the shadows of the past), which they wrote as part of their voluntary work for the Refugio Munich support association.
Six refugees confided in Cornelia von Schelling and Waltraud Volger. They told them about the violent experiences they had in their home country and during their flight.
Refugio Munich is a counseling and treatment center for people who have experienced flight. Refugees often suffer from invisible wounds from their past - the after-effects of a traumatic experience. Herrad Meese reports on what this means for people and how they can be helped in the psychotherapeutic work of Refugio München.
Afterwards, questions can be asked about the stories and about Refugio.
